DAY FOUR
Day 4 found us on an unexpected project. The original plan was to scrub and seal the tile in the basement area but some of the tile were cracked and due to the information Paula found online dealing with the date of the tile installation she thought that there was a good chance that it was an asbestos tile: so we covered it with a beautiful floating floor. Although the original tiles were a light color the wood grain of the new floor really changed the look down there. Fr. Gregory took on the task of cutting the bushes and dead trees down outside and we found a beautiful established date marker. We gave it a good cleaning and put a solar spot light on it. We have not actually seen it with the light hitting it but one of the parishioners will take a photo and send to us. We also wanted to add some more lighting outside so we put some solar lights out. It made such a difference!
We all enjoyed a Pasty for lunch, provided by a parishioner who owns a local bakery her in Marquette. A must try for those visiting the area.
